This 133,000 SF mixed-use retail and housing project located
in southwest Washington, DC consists of 118 apartment units
and 8,000 SF of retail space at the ground floor. Building
construction consists of a concrete below grade parking level,
a concrete and light gage framed retail level, and 4 stories of
wood frame construction above with a central courtyard
in the back. A geopier system was used at the foundation
due to low soil bearing capacities.
