SK&A was the structural-engineer-of-record for the major expansion
program undertaken by Peninsula General between 1983 and 1991,
which involved the construction of numerous new building additions,
modifications, and expansion of existing facilities. SK&A's work
included the South Wing addition to the hospital, MRI building addition,
modifications to the incinerator plant, expansion of the central power
plant, vertical extension of the South Wing Maternal Services section,
consolidation of Radiation Oncology, and addition to and reconstruction
of the Surgical Services facilities. Subsequent work consisted of the
construction of a new physician's office building and a new 600-car
parking garage.
