  Honor Guard Bachelor Quarters

   Washington, DC

Honor Guard Bachelor Quarters, at the Anacostia Naval Air Station
in Washington, DC is a design build project consisting of four
buildings: four-story dormitory, drill hall and gymnasium, dining hall,
and mechanical building.  Floors for the entire project are composed
of normal weight concrete over metal deck with steel joists supported
by steel beams.  Roofs are purlins or trusses.  The project also
features bowstring trusses spanning 85 feet in the drill hall and
gymnasium and architectural exposed steel in the gym, drill hall
and dining hall.  All foundation systems are structural slab-on-grade
supported on pile foundations due to the project's proximity to the
   Anacostia River.
