The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia is a 13-story, 353,000 SF,
Class "A" office building and is designed to meet DOD minimum
anti-terrorist standards. The building sits atop a 250,000 SF, 600-car
parking garage that extends three levels below grade. The headquarters
building is the first phase of the multi-phase Founders Square
development and is a LEED-ND (Neighborhood Development) GOLD
pilot program under the LEED rating system. At full build, the Founders
Square development will have an additional 312,000 SF office building,
two residential buildings and a one story 8,000 SF retail structure.
