Crystal Towers Balcony Repairs

This balcony rehabilitation project featured two 12-story condominium
buildings. The scope of work included addressing concrete and
waterproofing deficiencies of the exposed lightweight concrete
balconies, exposed concrete slab edges and the entire building facade.
The main goal of the project was the extensive removal and
replacement of deteriorated concrete, as well as the 100% recaulking of
all balconies and horizonal and vertical control/expansion joints in the
facade. Repairs also included the installation of a new railing to bring the
building up to current codes and the installation of a corriosion inhibitor
treatment and a urethane-based traffic bearing waterproofing membrane
system through the exposed concrete surfaces for long term protection.
