This award-winning project consists of the major renovation and retrofit of
an existing Class "A", 10-story office building (1,400,000 SF above grade)
with 3 underground parking levels (709,000 SF) that meets or exceeds
GSA's current Federal Office Building Standards. Access is provided
to the WMATA L'Enfant Plaza station at D Street, SW. The existing
building was reduced down to its structural elements and then
renovated to included the design of a new blast resistant building
facade and reconstruction of all service cores. Amenity spaces were
designed with a basic 30 ft column grid to align with existing columns
spacing, with long span designs considered for future tenant options.
